Extreme Safety has a range of leather outer gloves that are designed and recommended for wear over electrical insulating gloves. This helps with mechanical protection against punctures to the thin latex insulating glove.

Extreme Safety's gloves have been designed by both experts in the safety field, and experienced field workers who use these products every day. The result is a very well fitting glove, which absolutely minimizes the loss of feel and mobility by wearing an outer glove. All stitching in outer gloves is done with Kevlar, a cut resist and extremely robust material, widely used in bulletproof vests. The leather used in all gloves is also tanned in a different manner to many other leather gloves, meaning that when they become wet, they do not become slippery.

There are four types of outer glove each with their own characteristics, three types designed for use with LV insulating gloves (Class 0 and 00) and one style suitable for HV insulating gloves.

Goat Skin Outer Glove

The most common glove for LV work is the Goat Skin outer glove. This glove is one of the more robust of the LV outer gloves, and provides tough, long lasting protection for the insulating gloves. This is 240mm long.

Sheep Skin Outer Glove

The thinnest glove, providing unrivaled feel and dexterity is the Sheep Skin outer glove. The leather is thinner than goat and provides better feeling, however the repercussion of this property is that the glove is not quite as though, and long lasting. This is 240mm long.

Kangaroo Skin Outer Glove

The very strongest, longest lasting glove of all is the Kangaroo Skin outer glove. This glove retains the same feel as the Goat Skin glove, but is however slightly stronger and wear resistant. This is 240mm long.

Live Line Glove

Extreme Safety's HV outer glove, known as our "Live Line" electrical glove, is suitable for insulating gloves Class 1 upwards. This glove is made from Cow-hide which is very strong, and the cuff is specifically designed to deflect heat and dissipate energy in case of an arc or flash.
